The government of the State of Osun has been implementing changes that affect the status of Osogbo Grammar School. The current administration, among others, renamed the school to Osogbo High School and erected an edifice on school compound for a new school named Osogbo Government High School.
The new building was commissioned by President Mohammadu Buhari in September of 2015.
As a result of these changes, Osogbo Grammar School premises is now host to two schools.
The old students have been holding consultations over these changes. While the alumni supports efforts to improve schools in Osun State, we generally hold the view that it should be done with consultations and the acceptance that their is a legacy that cannot be erased.
